Best Weekend Ever?

Today was unfortunately the end of this year's New York Comic Con. The weekend was in one word AMAZING. From Capcom's incredible showcase with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Streetfighter X Tekken to the uncanny amount of comic vendors the show was filled.

This years show was bigger and better then ever before. It included more games (i.e. Nintendo's booth) and movies (i.e. The Avengers) then last year which made the crowd one of the biggest ever. Blimp creators Jason Hulse (@JASONHULSE) and Joe Regina (@joe_regina) were there to take it all in and spread the word about Blimp's upcoming releases. Although most of their time was spent knuckles deep in comic boxes they also handed out cards and picked up sticks with the best of them at Capcom's booth. On Friday some lucky attendees got their hands on an NYCC exclusive Blimp card (see posts below) with a comic on the back. Then, on Saturday hundreds of people received Blimp ad cards. All in all, Blimp made its presence known this past weekend.

Even with all the new and exciting showcases the core of the weekend is still comics. The amount of comic vendors, companies, writers, and artists was almost mind-numbing. So it was only fitting that Blimp was there.  More details and pictures on what Blimp's creators were actually doing at NYCC will be coming later. So be sure to follow us on twitter @BlimpComics and check us out on facebook.

Update: Weekly Release & NYCC

Yesterday marked the return of Blimp Comics, and along with it came a couple of announcements. First, Blimp Comics will be attending this year's New York Comic Con (NYCC).

Creators Jason Hulse (@JASONHULSE) and Joseph Regina (@joe_regina) will be live tweeting through out the weekend giving you updates on everything NYCC. Also, for anyone who will be attending the con they will be giving out exclusive NYCC edition Blimp cards. These cards are exclusive to NYCC and will be available to anyone attending. Yesterday's "re-launch" also marked the announcement of a weekly release from inside the Blimp universe.

These weekly releases will range in format and style from single-page-stories to advertisements and concept art. The first "piece" to be released is the first part to the ongoing web-series "The Landlord." The weekly releases are a reflection of the wide range of content in the Blimp universe. This means there is no set order or method to the madness. The only guarantee is that you will be getting new content once a week.

More details on the specifics of Blimp's presence at NYCC will be coming later in the week so be sure to follow us on twitter @BlimpComics and check out our facebook page: facebook.com/blimpcomics.

UPDATE: Web-Series #1

As most of you know today was suppose to be the release date of our first web-series, but instead of releasing the first of our six part series we are going to switch things up a bit.

The reason for the change of plans is because we have recently added a new member to the Blimp team, artist/inker Michael Brewer. Brewer's work has a classic feel to it which is in large part due to his attention to detail. This attention detail is most evident through his shading and precise line work, among other things. We are so fortunate to have an artist of this caliber on our team and can't wait to show you what he can do. For those of you who want a sneak peak though, check out some of his work on his Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/profile

Due to this new addition the web-series has been pushed back to a later date but that does not mean we won't be releasing something later on today. This delay, although painful for most of you, will be for the best and allow us to give you a far better quality work. So keep your eyes on the blog and follow us on twitter and Facebook for updates.
